David Berntsen’s 30-year career in telecommunications has been focused on sales and business development. After joining PCCW Global in 2006, he developed the customer base on the US West Coast by concentrating on the top-five technology companies – an approach that resulted in strategic and productive customer partnerships.
Before joining PCCW Global, David spearheaded US west coast sales operations for COLT Telecom, establishing the company as preferred provider to many of the region’s largest tech companies.
Previous roles included software sales in partnership with Nortel and handheld radio sales for Motorola.
He has traveled extensively in Europe and Asia and lived in Hong Kong for a time in the 1980s, during which he supervised production facilities in mainland China, Macau and locally.
David graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Marketing, majoring in sales management and international marketing.
