Chief Network Officer
Engaged in the design, engineering and operation of large-scale networks for more than 30 years, Bret Rehart holds a wealth of experience in satellite, microwave, copper, optical-fibre and other communications systems. As Chief Network Officer, he led creation of the PCCW Global network from an original concept to a capability comprising nodes in 29 US cities, six in Europe and nine in Asia.
Before joining a PCCW subsidiary in 2001, Bret worked as Chief Network Architect for Igea, Principal Engineer for Net2000 and Engineering Director for Teleglobe. He was previously Director of Operations and Engineering for MCI/WorldCom and New York Earth Station Manager for OTI. From 1983 to 1987, he served as a satellite engineer in the US Army.
