PCCW Global and China Network Communications ready for Equestrian Beijing 2008 Olympics broadcasting
Connectivity trial during "Good Luck Beijing - HKSAR 10th Anniversary Cup" was a great success
HONG KONG, September 11, 2007 - PCCW Global and China Network Communications (CNC) today announced the successful completion of a cross-border data connectivity trial for the Equestrian Beijing 2008 Olympics in Hong Kong.
PCCW Global and CNC jointly provided cross-border International Private Leased Circuit (IPLC) solutions to connect Beijing and Hong Kong during the "Good Luck Beijing - HKSAR 10th Anniversary Cup" event, as a rehearsal for the Beijing 2008 Olympics Games. The IPLC solution also included a 7 x 24 hotline and dedicated personnel for answering calls and field engineering, so as to ensure a smooth and high-quality connectivity.
CNC Senior Vice President Zhao Jidong said: "The connectivity trial was very successful and we are confident that the joint expertise and experience we hold along with PCCW Global will ensure a smooth and reliable telecommunication platform for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games."
