Customer Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

PCCW Global is looking for high caliber and ambitious candidates to develop their career to support International Services and IP Solution. The main responsibilities include:

• Carry out effective and quality customer service provision on all International IP services, including Layer2 VPN, Layer3
• MPLS, Global Internet Access, Managed Router/Firewall Services
• Manage, coordinate with Project Manager for implementing customized IP Solution Project in configuration and other technical aspect to our customers
• As part of the service delivery chain, in coordinate and work with the core engineering team to provision non-standard services and implement network wide upgrades, changes, etc.Resolve customer issues by providing technical support mainly remotely, on ad hoc basis on-site
• Provide 2nd level support to theNOCsfor such services and be an escalation point for such issues. Work with the core engineering team to resolve higher level problems and implement solutions per request
• Participate in provisioning and support of additional products as needed, including HDVC, HPBX, etc
• To be participated in the team's on-call routine to ensure the round-the-clock support of the above services
• Work with the core engineering team to resolve higher level problems and implement solutions per request;
• Ad hoc activities as assigned by Management from time to time;

Requirements:

• University Degree in Electronic/Information System/Computer Engineering with 3 years experiences in datacom field, or Higher Diploma in Electronic/Telecom Engineering with 8 years’ relevant experience in Datacom field
• In depth knowledge in Router, Switch, Firewall, TCP/IP, and MPLS networks techniques and operational procedures
• IP related certificate, such as CCNP and/or CCSE
• Operational knowledge and business understanding in International services is preferable
• Customer-oriented, self-motivated and tactful in dealing with other people across different functions
• Well versed in spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
• Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
