Product Manager, Capacity Management

Roles & Responsibilities:

PCCW Global is looking for a Product Manager, Capacity Management. The main responsibilities include:

  • Maintain up-to-date Layer1 global capacity master plan and regular review demand & supply forecast, which is based on evaluation on capacity requirements from cross-functional teams within the Company (Sales, Product, Cable Planning, and Engineering) and reflects the current and future business needs of external market
  • Timely review the capacity supply and initiate cable upgrade / augment projects according to the business demand forecast, competitive / market trend study, and supply window consideration, etc
  • Prepare business cases for capacity purchases and follow-through post-approval activities such as business case performance tracking, inventory and utilization reports
  • Analysis and evaluation for capacity acquisition opportunities in terms of new cable selection, right partnership and engagement to support demand on international capacity and cable diversity requirements
  • Provide support to Pre-sales on complex deals such as IRU, capacity rights, and buy-sell deals, RFP bids, as required
  • Overseas Travel is occasionally required according to business need.

Requirements:

  • A University Degree holder or equivalent in either Engineering, IT or Business Studies discipline with minimum of 5 years of experience in telecom industry
  • Knowledge in transmission technologies and understanding of international cable systems/routings is preferred
  • Good vendors/carriers relationship and product management skill
  • Results driven, self-motivated, analytical mind and preferred with good business acumen
  • Good command in oral and written English
