Pre-Sales Solution Consultant
Roles and Responsibilities:
PCCW Global is looking for a Pre-Sales Solution Consultant to be based in London, UK.
- Work in conjunction with the sales teams, technical teams, internal and/or external, as the primary solution owner for customers
- Articulate PCCW Global’s technology and solutions to business and technical professionals
- Communicate with customers at all levels to establish their specific business needs and to build/maintain strong professional relationships throughout the sales process
- Plan, design and build specific solutions, bridging the customer’s business needs to PCCW products and services
- Form and build solution out of in-house standard and external 3rd party products
- Deliver customized, high quality, professional solution presentations, and communicate benefits to customers at all levels
- Responsible for solution design on communication products, including network infrastructure consulting
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
- Convey customer business needs and requirements to Product and Development teams
- Responsible for monitoring of the support industry technology needs and service trends
Requirements:
- Significant relevant experience in relevant network and telecommunication solution design position
- Experience in telecommunication services related to banking, finance, media, manufacturing or health care industries is desirable
- Experience and strong understanding of various types of LAN and WAN technologies, e.g. TCP-IP, MPLS, VPLS and Layer-2 Services such as Spanning Tree and Ethernet, IPLC and ATM/FR, routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
- Experience in dealing with large international RFPs (Bid team)
- Creativity approach to build new solutions
- Knowledge of and experience with WAN and LAN CPE
- Understanding of IP Addressing
- Experience and familiarity with network planning, design and operation on large data network
- Knowledge in relevant technology trends and outlooks
- Knowledge in network operation, IT and/or support environment is a plus
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is a plus
- Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) is a plus
- VOIP experience is a plus
- Fluent in English. Other languages are a plus
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Frequent travel is required
