Senior Cloud Solutions Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:

PCCW Global is looking for a Senior Cloud Solutions Manager. The main responsibilities include:

  • Cloud, IX and SaaS technical, commercial advisor to the DAI Team by providing cloud computing related technical support and advisory to the team.
  • Negotiate and agree SaaS commercial terms for our most strategic cloud partners.
  • Work closely with cloud service providers / partners / subcontractors (appointed by the Company) and the Company’s departments / personnel / line of business to formulate the cloud business strategy for the Console Connect in a shorter / longer term plans, also work with the line of business to propose the cloud deployment plan.
  • Provide cloud market analysis / research / recommendations report in a regular or on-demand basis by comparing those major cloud service providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google, Alibaba Cloud) on pricing, availability and features for those major products
  • Participate pre-scheduled meetings either face-to-face and/or via video conference and / or tele-conference for the development of Console Connect business, on reporting the status of the assigned task.
  • Provides sales / pre-sales cloud computing related support for the Console Connect includes solution validation, work with presales to write Cloud technical proposal, customer meeting with sales / presales, provide support to coordinate PoC together with customer and the team.
  • Manage and drive the commercial partnership with cloud service and SaaS providersby inviting cloud service and SaaS providers, constructing and managing the commercial arrangement, defining the workflow and logistics on onboarding cloud partner.
  • Serve as SME (Subject Matter Expert) to Platform Innovation Team on feature development involved Cloud and SaaS solutions
  • Work closing with other members of the DAI team and internal sales team on all commercial holdings regarding cloud partners and internal legal department.
  • Share and implement best practices across the team

Requirements:

  • Prior experience on day-to-day commercial, product, technical overview of the global cloud/SaaS industry.
  • Experience with Telco + Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application or Platform- as-a-Service (PaaS/SDI) is desirable. 
  • Experience in leading commercial engagements and negotiations is required 
  • Able to engage and build relationships with key global cloud providers.
  • ICT/Telco/Software Defined/Software as a service experience.
  • Understanding of the basic legal and financial concepts in Cloud/SaaS/platform contracts such as on-ramping, partnerships and SLA’s
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively and deliver results across cross-functional, remote and virtual teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Passionate about delivering excellence and continual improvement in a fast-paced, agile global business
  • Some global travel may be required.
