PCCW Global Networks (UK) Limited providing campus broadband services to military and student accommodation markets in the UK, operating under the Optify and Mediaforce brands, has been acquired by Wifinity Limited.

Wifinity saw this acquisition as an opportunity to expand its business as an Internet Service Provider to the public sector, in the process improving its offering to Armed Forces personnel as well as to the Student and Residential campuses.

Both Optify and Mediaforce target the domestic UK market while PCCW Global has been more largely targeting cross-border, cross-functional, ICT automation. The sale will allow PCCW Global to focus on its core business.
